First in the world installation for producing hydrogen in an electolizer integrated with thermo power plant operates in Elbląg, Poland
Two ways installation for producing hydrogen based on solid oxide fuel cells in co operation with BB20 biomass block of thermos power plant. It is the result of a project carried out by Faraday Research and Development Center run by Energa Group together with Institute of fluid flow machines and Energy Institute. The solutions is based on polish patents, technology and polish know-how.
Even though the power of the installation amounts only up to 10 KW but it’s a mile stone for hydrogen technology development in Poland. The demand for such installations will grow rapidly over the next years and such projects as RSOC may constitute one of the ways of hydrogen production development in the future.
